Hello, and welcome to the practice! I’m Dr. Natalie Amann. I believe in practicing dentistry that’s unique to my patients. I utilize my extensive training and experience to diagnose, coordinate, and treat some of the most challenging dental cases. I am proud to have been delivering the highest quality dental care to patients for over 25 years.
My practice is conveniently located in Frazer -Malvern, not very far from where I grew up, among the great people I’ve always known. My goal is to help my patients better understand the importance of good dental health by providing uniquely modern, high quality treatments.
Why I chose to become a dentist
I can remember growing up, and visiting the dentist was something all of us kids would do once every year around the time school began. We’d get to the office and sit in the waiting room, until dressed in a short, white clinical jacket, the dentist would slide open the door to his operatory, stare at us over the top of his bifocals and crook his finger at me to follow him. I can recall the foot-powered engine belt-drives, the gas flame where the dental tools were disinfected, and the mounted knight-in-armor on the Ritter dental chair.
The practice reminded me more of a medieval castle than a dentist’s office. If I had X-rays taken of my mouth, it wouldn’t be until the next day that the film was developed. Sitting in the dental chair was not comfortable, and while my dentist wasn’t mean by nature, he would get irritated if I bent my head to one side or the other to try to keep my mouth open. I would try hard to sit still, and once my treatment was done, my dentist would release me, and move on to other people waiting to be treated. Very few things made the dental experience “personal” back then.
Growing up, I soon discovered a love for math, chemistry, and physics, as well as an appreciation for the beauty of art and the versatility of the English language. I enjoyed understanding how things worked based on chemistry and physics. I saw clearly the ability to be artistic in creating form and function, and I loved helping others. Modern dentistry—as it is today—is as much an art as it is a science, and in college, I was drawn to the profession almost immediately. It did not take me long to decide the being a dentist was my passion in life.
The modern dental practice
Dentistry today encompasses a more holistic approach, and focuses on using noninvasive methods to treat patients. Today’s dental treatments are much more comfortable, efficient, and cosmetically appealing. Treatments today are aimed at prevention and helping patients maintain a healthy smile for a lifetime.
As a dentist, I can help you improve the overall health of your smile by offering comprehensive and cosmetic adult dental care, explaining your options, and offering you the advanced care choices that will best meet your needs.
Education, experience, and the pursuit of excellence
Through years of education, continuing training, and having the opportunity to collaborate with other dentists who have pushed the art and science of dentistry to what it is now, I’ve gained knowledge and a respect for everything that quality dental care can provide for my patients. » View Dr. Amann’s complete resume

Life outside of the practice
I enjoy my personal time, and am blessed to be surrounded by a loving family and wonderful friends. I have two children; my daughter, Courtney Frances graduated the University of Southern Maine in Portland as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with highest honors, and my stepson, Jonathan, a talented chef, who owns Amani’s BYOB in Downingtown along with his lovely wife, Jeanine.
I must confess that I am somewhat of a history buff, and I love learning about different periods. If time, health, and muscular willingness cooperate, I hope to once again enjoy skiing and scuba diving.
It is my greatest pleasure to serve you, and I look forward to all of the wonderful smiles we have yet to share.
